Ringo and Paul portrait

Popsicle I use photographs as a reference point – in this case a photograph of Paul and George from the early sixties. Using vibrant pastel colours I have attempted to evoke the mood of playfulness and humour that was such a characteristic of the fab four. This is a digitised - multimedia image created partly on the computer in Photoshop software. I start these works with an original brush and ink drawing – usually black ink on cartridge paper. This artwork is then scanned into the computer and the colour is generated using a ‘layering’ process.
